Having tried a wide range of mp3 players in the past I can say that the Sansa Fuze is one of the best so far, it may not be from as big a name as Apple or Sony but it compares well in quailty. You are not limited by a system such as iTunes and the players have the ability to expand their capacity via Micro SD support which allows seamless additional storage for your tunes. The GoGear RaGa from Philips is a small compact mp3 player. It is very small indeed, not much bigger than the size of a golf ball. Packed into this tiny bundle is 4 or 8 GB of storage space for your music. The GoGear RaGa can play music in mp3 and wma formats and it has a user friendly 3 line screen for displaying track information, elapsed track time and battery power remaining and of course you can browse through the music onboard.
The lithium-polymer battery gives up to 27 hours continuous playback. The GoGear RaGa comes with a USB cable to attach to your PC and putting music onto the player is as simple as drag and drop, no need for any additional software to install to your PC. The GoGear has in in-built battery which you can recharge easily by connecting to your PC via USB, no need for a separate recharger or the need to replace batteries; a 45 minute charge can last for over 12 hours. The controls have been moved onto the earphone cord, so no need to go hunting in your pockets for the player. The iPod Shuffle introduces us to a new feature, VoiceOver. With a press of a button the player can tell you the artist and song title of the track you are currently listening to. It also warns you when the battery is low! VoiceOver can communicate in 20 different languages. As you would expect the iPod Shuffle offers the ability to have multiple playlists and the 4GB version has enough room to fit in 1,000 tracks. The shuffle switch has three positions. Flip it to the left, and you’ll hear your music in a random order, flip it to the middle, and your songs play in order or flip to the right to turn iPod Shuffle off.
